¡Hola! My name is Alessandra.
I am a master’s candidate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a dedicated advocate for authentic, culturally responsive care. My therapeutic relationships are grounded in trust, empathy, and mutual respect. My philosophy of counseling centers on the belief that hope, healing, and personal growth emerge most powerfully within meaningful therapeutic connections where clients feel valued and understood.
Originally from Guatemala, I bring a deep appreciation for cultural diversity, resilience, and community to my work. Through my previous role with the Department of Language, Equity, and Diversity in my school district, I supported immigrant families in navigating educational systems, accessing resources, and advocating for their children. This experience has strengthened my commitment to culturally responsive, person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based counseling practices.
I believe that every person’s story holds strengths, resilience, and a capacity for positive change, and I am committed to walking alongside you with compassion, cultural humility, and unwavering support as we navigate your unique journey toward well-being.
