Questions about therapy?

Take a look at the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) or reach out anytime. If you’re feeling to dive into your healing journey, we’re happy to connect with you.
  • Reaching out is a brave first step. You can start by filling out the contact form on our website. We'll then schedule a brief, confidential phone consultation, at no cost to you, to hear what's on your mind, answer your initial questions, and explore if we might be a good fit to walk alongside you. Think of it as a conversation, not a commitment.

  • Think of our first session as us sitting down together to understand your story. There's no judgment, just curiosity. We'll review some logistics, and then open the space to talk about what brought you here, what you're hoping for, and any questions you have about the process. It’s a chance for us to begin building a trusting relationship and to start envisioning a path forward that honors your whole self.

  • For us, it means therapy isn't just about coping with a world that wasn't built for everyone, it's about recognizing your full humanity and inherent worth. We believe healing happens when we acknowledge the impact of systemic forces on your personal struggles and empower you to reclaim your story, your power, and your joy. It’s therapy that sees you, all of you.

  • We believe therapy should be both accessible and transparent. We accept Medicaid and several other insurance plans, and our self-pay rate is $140 per session. The best way to understand your specific coverage or options is simply to reach out. Everyone's situation is different, so let's connect and find the path that works best for you.

  • Then you're exactly where you're supposed to be. You don't need to come with an agenda or a polished story. We'll guide you with gentle questions and genuine curiosity. Showing up as you are—uncertain, nervous, or prepared—is more than enough. That's where the real work begins.

  • Finding the right therapist is a bit like finding a good friend—it can take time, and that's okay. The most important thing is how you feel in the space we create together. Do you feel heard? Do you feel safe? Our first conversation is simply an invitation to notice those feelings. And if it doesn't feel like the right fit, we'll support you in finding someone who is. Not everyone is for everyone, and we want you to find yours.

  • We don't need you to translate your culture for us. We carry our own lived experiences as people of color, and we've built this practice so you don't have to spend your sessions educating your therapist. Here, we start from shared understanding—of family, of code-switching, of intergenerational strength—and build from there.

  • It means we've also navigated the complexities of identity, belonging, and healing. We don't sit across from you as detached experts; we sit alongside you as fellow humans who are doing our own work. Our credentials inform how we help but our lived experiences inform how we see you.

  • Sí, ofrecemos terapia en español e inglés juntos. We know that some emotions only feel true in your first language. Whether you're fully bilingual or more comfortable speaking entirely in Spanish, we're here to meet you in the language of your heart.

You don’t have to see the whole staircase. Just take the first step.
